Ministry of God's People
A major emphasis that came out of the Protestant Reformation was the "Priesthood of All Believers." As Ephesians 4:12 reminds us, God gave leaders to the church for "the equipping of the Saints for their work of Ministry." As such, while ministry happens within the the four walls of the church-gathered, some of God's most important work happens as the church-scattered brings Christ's hands and feet to our community, region, and the ends of the earth.

Our Pastor
Kasey Summerer
For Christ and the World
As a fifth generation rancher, in 2023 my family and I had the joy of returning home to my family's ranch 12 miles southeast of Chambers and began serving First and Bethany Presbyterian Churches in 2024. With a background in ministry, higher education, corporate team building, and youth programs, my heart is for developing people, and especially watching Jesus transform lives.
Having pastored a church in a suburb north of Dallas, TX, there is something special about rural ministry built around relationships. My hope is to see the lost and the next generation encounter Christ through God's Word and the community of the local church. Whether you have known Jesus for most of your lifetime, new to faith in Christ, or curious about this Jesus guy, I hope that our church can become a home where you are both welcomed and stretched.
Besides completing my bachelors degree in business management from Northwestern College and my Master of Theology (Th.M.) degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, I am nearing the completion of an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. In addition to pastoring, I am blessed to ranch with my dad, work with an apologetics and evangelism ministry called Ratio Christi, and by God's grace, with my incredible wife Amanda, we get to steward the lives of our two kids, Rylee and Aiden.
